Thanks Oli,

I think that the iPhone and its apps have paved the way for speedier uptake of the iPad. People who have an iPhone and have used it for a few months, will get the usability and the power of additional apps factors.

Yeah it will be interesting to see if docomo finally gets around to providing the connections. They've talked about eventually selling iPhones for ages. Two things that I am keen to find out are will the 3G plans be reasonably priced like in the States and what will the iBookstore be like. I'm fearing that I won't be able to put other non-iBookstore books I've purchased on my shelf. Unfortunately, Apple still has the power to disappoint in this department.

Good show guys!
So how do you think the iPad will be received in Japan? I’m personally really surprised by some of the negative reception it’s got—I think it’s going to do exactly what the iPhone and iPod have done before it. However I think Japan will be slow to pick up on it, as they havev been with both predecessors. I’m also really interested that DoCoMo is providing the SIMs—I wonder if this means they’ll sell iPhones sometime…
